Doug Fabian is the editor of Successful Investing, High Monthly Income, and ETF Trader, and is the host of the syndicated radio show, "Doug Fabian's Wealth Strategies."

Doug is known as one of the safest, most conservative investment advisors in the business. He’s beaten the market consistently and kept his subscribers’ assets from harm in bear markets by following The Fabian Plan, which has produced an average of double-digit annualized gains in the past 30+ years.

Doug FabianIn recent years, he made the revolutionary shift from recommending mutual funds to exchange traded funds (ETFs). He started moving investors into ETFs long before most others recognized their strength and value.

The Fabian Plan is a proprietary mechanical trend-following approach to stock market investing. Instead of using guesswork, predictions, forecasts, or emotions, we base our investment decisions solely on the established trend of the market.

Our investment vehicle is exchange traded funds (ETFs). We’ve found in our research and trading experience that the most accurate tools for trend identification are the Wilshire 5000, our Domestic Fund Composite, and a 39-week moving average.

A strong or rising market is indicated when the current prices of our indicators are higher than their 39-week averages. A weak or falling market is indicated when the current prices are lower than their 39-week averages.

This simple comparison -- the current price to the 39-week average -- reveals the current trend of the market and forms the basis of our trading rules. Simply put, we're in the market when it's going up, and we're out of the market when it's going down.

Taking over the reigns from his dad, Dick Fabian, back in 1992, Doug has continued to uphold the reputation of the newsletter as the #1 risk-adjusted market timer as ranked by Hulbert’s Investment Digest.

Doug became a member of the "SmartMoney 30" in 1999 -- a listing of the most influential individuals in the mutual fund industry. In the feature, SmartMoney magazine exclaims that Doug is the best-known "trend follower" among the $56 billion (and growing) group of financial advisors.

In 2001, Doug wrote "Maverick Investing," published by McGraw-Hill. He also regularly appears at seminars around the country; stands out on the pages of the largest newspapers (The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times); and speaks on national television (CNBC, Fox News and Bloomberg Forum).

For more than 30 years, Successful Investing (formerly the Telephone Switch Newsletter) has produced double-digit annual gains. Doug has become known for his expert knowledge and timely use of innovative tools like Exchange Traded Funds, bear funds and Enhanced Index funds to profit in any market climate.

ETF Trader is a weekly electronic trading service perfect for your aggressive growth money. It's everything you've come to count on from Doug -- trending, identifying winners and avoiding losers, and outperforming the market (with controlled risk!). It supercharges The Fabian Plan so you're positioned to take advantage of short-term swings... in EVERY market. We make just a few targeted buys each month and hold them for as little as a few days up to 60 days.

High Monthly Income safely generates the high income you need to fund your retirement while growing your principal -- and protects you from the market's downside risks. High Monthly Income helps you defeat all the threats to your retirement security and lets you live the comfortable, affluent, worry-free life you've always envisioned.
